The small shelf/cupboard was
rescued from a skip and french polished by Borin's eldest son.
The lay figure – always a seductive and potentially sinister object,
like
many mannequins – was a gift from friends twenty-five years ago. The
panelling
was in our dining-room. The title: a classic ska/reggae number. A
complete,
sanguine study in wood and plasma.
