Green Woman. Gouache, coloured pencil and collage

Borin writes: "I have long thought of making a version of a Green Man, so here's a twist: a Green Woman with shades of the Hindu goddess Kali, perhaps. The Green Man is probably of pagan origins, but images appear in churches and cathedrals, a face emerging from foliage, often having tendrils and leaves flowing from mouth, ears and nostrils. These latter characteristics are often omitted from modern depictions. She has Brussels sprouts for eyes, as a bonus."
